YMCA group exercise classes are developmentally appropriate and hlep people at any stage of life build positive health habits.  Group Exercise classes include:

FITNESS ORIENTATIONS
A fitness orientation is a FREE service that provides members with a breif introduction to the cardiovascular and weight training equipment.  During the orientation, members will learn:
 
  -Proper techniques for equipment usage
  -Policies associated with equipment usage
  -Set simple 30-day goals and a plan to achieve these goals

Orientations last approximately 60-minutes and are held in a small group format. 

Orientations are held on Tuesdays at 9am and 6pm weekly.

YOUTH &
TEEN
FITNESS ORIENTATIONS
This orientation assists youth in learning:
Gym Etiquette (proper attire, behavior, length of machine use)
Exercise Guidelines & Weight Training Tips
Education & Setup on 3-4 weight machines targeting major muscle groups
Instruction & Orientation on cardio machines
Basic Nutrition Tips (serving sizes, food pyramid and more)

Orientations are held two Saturday's per month.

Fee - $18.00 per participant

ONE-ON-ONE
FITNESS ORIENTATIONS
 
Meet with a fitness professional and learn more exercises that are right for you.

Cardio and strength basic training instruction will be provided. 

Appointments are scheduled on an individual basis and typically last 60-minutes.

Fee - $25

HEALTHY LIFESTYLE COACHING           
Discover how to: set goals- reach them faster, make better food choices, find the time to exercise overcome obstacles

What is healthy life style coaching? Healthy life style coaching is a collaborative process in which the wellness coach helps the client si mplify their life and helps them obtain the health related goals they desire.
Healthy lifestyle coaching is offered by Deana McGarr.  Deana McGarr is a Cooper Institute certified Healthy Behaviors Coach. She has been in the fitness industry since 2003 as a group exercise instructor and personal trainer. She loves to help others discover the obstacles preventing them from moving more and enjoys sharing her passion for health with others.

Fee - $50.00 per 60-minute session
